Calvin Klein Comes Out In Los Angeles

Last night Los Angeles was on fire. The city was pulsing with the kick off of LA’s Arts month, pre-Grammy gatherings, a John Varvatos store party and Calvin Klein’s “first ever event in Los Angeles.” I opted to attend the Calvin Klein event. Considering the brand’s many star-studded associations over the years from Brooke Shields to Gwyneth Paltrow to Eva Mendes, it’s surprising they haven’t rocked out in Hollywood before. And while I didn’t see any of the above names, Molly Sims, Penelope Cruz, Ginnifer Goodwin, Mila Javovich, Dasha Zhukova, among others were all there last night to preview the men’s and women’s spring 2010 collection. Neville Wakefield curated works by Jennifer West and Jean Shin at a Melrose Place event space to mark the coming out.
