A few more pre-post things. Racked.com did a really great behind the scenes with Simon Doonan as he sets up the Christmas windows for Barneys. I highly recommend checking it out, but don't if you don't want the surprise ruined.
Thank you for all the non-lurking comments. It seriously made my day and reminds me why I'm so OCD about my blog, because there are people just as obsessed as I am. Anyways onto windows.

A few weeks ago I made a post about the artist Mark Gagnon and his windows for Bergdorf Goodman [click here for a refresher]. Mark contacted me with the sweetest thank you email I've ever received. I was so flattered by his kindness, that I decided to ask if I could pick his brain about his process with Bergdorf's and how his windows came about. read more »

Bergdorf Goodman has once again hit it out of the park. Whoever is their art collector/seeker/stylist/planner, amazing! I've never heard of Mark Gagnon or seen his work before this, but what a wonderful way to be introduced to a great artist. This display is called "An Illustrated History of Fashion" and it doesn't disappoint. So effortless fun and creative, the people around me were sucked into the work and for a moment forgot about the amazing dresses before them.

Bergdorf Goodman
My apologies for updating later in the day, I'm currently in California visiting my family. Not that anyone seems to care what I do or say these days. Comments would be nice if you spend like 4 hours on my site looking at images...

The BG mens display had me thinking "Where did they find all of these incredibly wooden objects?" You know a display is overpowering when you ignore the clothes and focus on the decorations instead. And even thought I'm insanely biased to Tom Ford, his suit was the only one that stopped me in my tracks and I checked out before I even read that it was Tom Ford. He's definitely carved out his own style for suits, or maybe my Tom Ford love radar is out of control. [Also I loved the Chanel logo reflection from the womens store in some of the images.]
