Nike Sportswear Presentation

Even though New York Fashion Week officially starts tomorrow, we already have a line up of must-attend events for tonight. The first stop is Nike Sportswear's presentation of Heron Preston’s book, The Young and the Banging, which "explores the notion of downtown New York City as high school all over again, where the taxis are school buses, restaurants are cafeterias, bars are school dances and the streets are hallways." Then, we're off to Gen-Art to suss out some fresh talents, and then to Erin Wasson's XRCVA presentation and party later on.  read more »

Retail Watch: Nike Sportswear Opens In Soho

The Nike Sportswear story has taken us around the globe—from Oregon earlier this year to Beijing this summer. And the new fashion forward line will now have its own brick and mortar location at 21 Mercer Street in New York's Soho.

Nike Sportswear: Swooshing in a New Direction

In recent years, Nike has diversified with a constant stream of product rollouts, but the company's new direction signals a push for a more unified brand identity. This summer, Nike plans to group disparate product categories such as Nike White and Sport Culture under a single umbrella called Nike Sportswear. As the brand's Global Creative Director Richard Clarke puts it, the goal is "to organize and present our work in one collection."
