A Busy New York Fashion Week

I’ve been getting ready for New York Fashion Week (which starts tomorrow) and this season has been more a frenzied process of scheduling than ever. I used to wait to see what invitations turn up in my mailbox, but now with fashion fully embracing New Media, PRs are coming at you from all fronts. Invitations have been filling up my inbox, mailbox and poking me from Facebook requesting my attendance to what appear to be more shows (with several new names) and more parties than I recall in recent seasons. Coupled with the friends that are in town who need one on one time and the planning for fashion week in London, Milan and Paris, the season is officially on.
All this craziness calls for an editor’s eye to cut through the fat and bring you the highlights. I’ll be working with Stylesight this week to bring you our daily picks from the street and the runway and reporting on the emerging talents breaking through this season. Keep checking in.
