Rogan has tapped New York based design studio Salvor Projects to create a capsule collection of denim and tees, available exclusively at the Rogan Bowerie Store starting next week.

Ross Menuez, the printmaking sage behind Salvor, says the goal for this collection was "to ‘weave’ the imagery into cloth unnoticeably; to create prints that didn’t read as prints." The result includes Rogan Funnel jeans and Bowerie tees overprinted with Salvor’s signature earthy graphics, and one-of-a-kind oversized ‘Aeromys’ modal jersey women’s tops. Plus, the Rogan Bowerie store will carry limited edition favorites from Salvor for the September 25 launch, including shirts, totes, and wool jersey scarves. To designer Rogan Gregory, Menuez’s patterns, colors and robot iconography "send shivers up my spine. I am moved and perplexed simultaneously." So are we. I can’t get enough of these designer/film collaborations! The fact that a designer is extending their vision to their fans through a multi-media based form is not only inspirational and totally captures everything the designer isn’t there to tell us, but helps to set them apart from the pack by incorporating big name actresses and models. Charlotte Ronson has Annabelle Dexter-Jones and Erin Fetherston has Zooey Deschanel, Kirsten Dunst and Karen Elson (both designers have been featuring videos for a while now) while the fledgling label Idol Radec is hard at work creating story films to accompany their lines (see their profile and video tomorrow) and Justin Timberlake has the sexy William Rast shorts with edgy model du jour Erin Wasson. And with Diane Pernet ready to showcase films from her film festival in Paris later this month, I just can’t get enough of the collaborations! Eddie Borgo is launching his own jewelry collection to be sold at Camilla Staerk’s new store on Mulberry Street this month. Complete with matte aluminum and tulle-covered chains, the new line is "for a contemporary girl who has things to do," says Borgo. "And I see her in New York, or even in any modern city." Devohn is adorable. A mix between Big Daddy Cane and Adeva ( early 90′s house recording artist for you children!). With all of these vintage references, he manages to look very right now. He was charming and clever. I love this new redone hip hop update for the end of summer beach looks!

As we leave New York today to continue our global fashion sojourn to London, Milan, and Paris fashion weeks, we won’t forget to pack Violens’ CD. We’ve been enamored by the New York band since we heard their tunes at Patrik Ervell’s show last weekend, and their soothing Shins like sound is the perfect airline cabin music. Look out for a review, but in the meantime, listen to the band via Myspace.
