Forget Botox, It’s All About Botanicals

By JC Report

It might be time for harsh agents like salicylic acid, co-enzyme Q10 and alpha hydroxy acids to take a hike, as Clark’s Botanicals puts the spotlight on the au naturale healing properties of jasmine absolute. Francesco Clark, formerly a staffer at Harper’s Bazaar, co-founded this botanical-based skincare line with his physician father after suffering a spinal cord injury in 2002 that left him without the ability to walk—let alone sweat, which caused clogged pores and breakouts. As the star ingredient of Clark’s Botanicals, jasmine absolute, a natural anti-inflammatory, effectively cleared up and re-balanced Francesco’s sensitive complexion.

We couldn’t help but be drawn to Clark’s Botanical’s large white Art-Nouveau-ish lettering, emblazoned on its unmistakable emerald-green packaging (which comes in surprisingly generous jumbo sizes). The Soothing Herbal Face Wash and Smoothing Marine Cream worked wonders on our winter-parched skin, making it super-soft to the touch. And while jasmine is known for its distinctly exotic, floral aroma, we’re happy to report that the scent been scaled back to a pleasingly delicate trace amount.
