Today marks the anniversary of the 41st Earth Day, and both JC Report and AHAlife.com think that calls for a celebration. The green movement got off to a great start on April 22, 1970, when the efforts of a coalition of Republicans and Democrats—rich and poor, city slickers and farmers, tycoons and labor leaders, and some plain old granola crunching hippies—led to the creation of the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the passage of the Clean Air, Clean Water and Endangered Species Acts. Since then we have come a long way.
Although we’re still battling environmental issues, there’s a whole new level of eco-consciousness. Sustainability is now an integrated part of our lifestyles, and this is only made easier by the fact that eco-friendly design has evolved tremendously in recent years. Every day, we seem to discover a new, innovative, luxurious, smart and beautiful product that also happens to go easy on the Earth. The ultra-chic WeWOOD watch, for instance, is complemented by a pledge from its designers to plant a tree for every item sold. Or Elvis & Kresse’s amazingly cool wash bag, which is made from a recycled British fire hose. And, of course, the stunning Allsop Garden lanterns, which run on solar power and are made by glass blowers in Oregon.
These are just a few examples of our favorite eco-chic items. We have included a few other top choices in today’s roundup, and you can find many more when browsing the Environmentally Friendly section in our brand new shop. We at both JC Report and AHAlife.com are thrilled to highlight all these exciting, well-designed and extremely covetable eco-friendly products for our beloved followers.
