New from the body (and face) that sold a million Wonderbras and untold amounts of lingerie and swimwear for Victoria’s Secret and Calvin Klein, among others, comes a line of beachwear that’s right in the swim of the model-cum-mogul trend of the moment. Tired of reaping bucket loads of cash for corporate players, Eva Herzigova is curving her ubiquitous physique into a self-designed line of simple and chic beachwear that debuted at the Paris spring collections, and the industry is taking notice. Bikini tops heavy on tying as a device to expose dangling fabric and with varying cuts to flatter different bust sizes, boy shorts, and even a nod to the flapper era with a white, drop waist skirt suit worthy of any speakeasy are some of Herzigova’s pulse quickening beachwear suggestions. Hues of green, red, gray, pink and white (and the requisite teeny weeny polka dot bikini) lend an aura of ease to beachside tanning or poolside soiree — two settings the seasoned model could write the book on. And as Herzigova’s career continues to soar (check out Citizen K‘s winter issue tribute in which she’s featured in every editorial), the model-actress-star turned designer may now see mogul hyphenated to her already many titles. Note also that Milla Jovovich‘s very hush-hush line of vintage inspired dresses is also in the works.
