Men have tried to look casually chic ever since the Beatles began wearing slim fit suits with tired eyes and disheveled hair. Fortunately for those trying for this effortless look, Burberry’s new fragrance, The Beat for Men, does most of the work for you.
The scent embodies that same “effortless British style” propagated by the Beatles, which remains an American and British obsession even today. Unsurprisingly, Burberry The Beat for Men is highly influenced by contemporary British acts such as the Arctic Monkeys, Razorlight and the Klaxons. To tap into the technological ethos, the company has even created Facebook, Myspace and Bebo pages, where admirers can enter to win the fragrance or limited edition iPods.
To get your collective feet stomping to the beat, here’s an acoustic video of musician Kristian Walker, one of the stars of Burberry The Beat campaign, singing We Can’t Go On. And, better still, we’ll be running a giveaway of the fragrance in Thursday’s mailer. Talk about a ticket to ride.
