Trendsetter: Prabal Gurung

A true globe-trotter through and through, Prabal Gurung combines an internationally trained eye with universal appeal. Born in Singapore, raised in Nepal and trained in London, Melbourne and New York — by luminaries from Manish Arora and Donna Karan — this acclaimed upstart worked for Cynthia Rowley’s design team and served as design director for Bill Blass before launching his own namesake collection. Marrying old world technique with cutting edge modern architecturalism, Gurung is one designer we plan to keep tabs on.
