JCR Shops: Cut Out That Top

Earlier this year, we brought you a story about the cut out trend fresh from the runways. Though the aesthetic appeared on fall designs, the current summer humidity has made us impatient to wear all the edgy styles. Rick Owen’s Twisted Jersey tee has a whiff of deconstruction with the designer’s signature tight shirring and just the right amount of skin on the shoulder. Alexander Wang also honors this part of the body in his sexy off-the-shoulder blouse with a playful collar and triangular cuts that create a peek-a-boo effect along the torso. Gareth Pugh’s rock ‘n roll take is metallic, tight and slashed to reveal small windows of skin, while Re Collection’s eco-friendly grey Slash Back t-shirt is toned down in the front, but offers plenty of drama with its airy back opening. KAIN Label’s 3 Strap Tank is easy to wear and provides the same breezy effect via the rectangular cutouts on its sides.
