Hardcore Accessorizing

By JC Report

It may be hard to keep all the nuts and bolts together with a hectic schedule, but it’s all in a days work for jewelry designer Nina Stotler. For her Von Kottwitz Jewelry label, Stotler balances edgy hardware and statement-making pieces in a collection with hands on appeal.

No stranger to the world of design, Stotler’s resume of fashion styling, design, PR and trend reporting contribute heavily to her creations. Stotler’s fourth season, titled “INDUSTY,” draws inspiration from industrial imagery and the works of artists Ed Ruscha and Banks Violette. The 14-piece collection consists of bright gold, silver and crystal strands embellished with hardware pieces on her necklaces, earrings, bracelets and pin. Standouts include a textural Woven bracelet that spins a refreshing twist on the heavy chained look, and cascading bibbed necklaces that will be a perfect accent for fall’s dark palettes. With a collection so spot on, it’s easy to see why this working woman is about to get a lot busier.

Select works can be found at Manhattan’s Sucre or through Stotler’s recently relaunched website, www.vonkottwitz.com.
