"I have had a lot of despair over the state of the world in the past
two years, and I now find myself drawn to things that are beautiful and
serene. There’s a crop of new NYC designers that are making clothes
that are very pretty but also very intelligent. I’m currently dreaming
about Sari Gueron’s gorgeous, meticulously constructed gowns, Jean Yu’s
delicate but starkly simple silk lingerie and Thakoon’s slightly
futuristic and ethereal grosgrain ribbon dresses.
