At the moment, I’m really into the artist Katharina Fritsch, who produces wonderful contemporary sculptures. Katharina mixes reality and contradiction—she adapts everyday items in a truly inspiring way. I especially love her “rat-king” and “child with poodles,” which are both brilliant and so much fun. It’s so easy to forget about the beauty of things around us and how amazing nature is in form and color—such as the glorious rainbow that flashes so subtly across the sky but is able to invoke such overwhelming and joyous feelings.
