Looks from the ’40s and the fabulous ’80s, investment pieces, glamour and vintage. Specific looks include crystals, studs, ruche, big shoulder pads, over the knee thigh-high boots, biker jackets and military fashion.
Must have collections: They consist of vintage Judith Leiber clutches, Nicholas Kirkwood’s sexy ankle boots and anything by Balmain, Lanvin, Givenchy and Top Shop.
Favorite stores: Check out and don’t miss Kirna Zabete in NYC, Corso Como in Milan and Maria Luisa in Paris.
Amis Garrigue just began working as the design director at Judith Leiber, with the mission to bring fashion, glamour and excitement back to the house. The 46-years-old company already has an amazing history and archive, but is ripe for a modern makeover. Garrigue is helping to incorporate some of the amazing looks of the label’s past with today’s trends. The current collection is aptly called "Rebirth," and will be debuted during the autumn/winter ’10-’11 collections in February.
