Jaime Perlman is the art director for British Vogue and founder/creative director for TEST. Originally from Philadelphia, she moved to New York to study graphic design and video art. She later worked at both Harper’s Bazaar and American Vogue before relocating to London five years ago. This summer she launched an online pet-project, TEST, a platform for fashion-based photography and film.
What’s Hot Right Now:
Photographers-turning-directors, fashion film, behind-the-scenes, blogging, Boo Ritson, Anish Kapoor, Jared Buckhiester, Lara Stone, Freja Beha Erichsen, Constance Jablonski, MariaFrancescaPepe gold rings, leather pencil skirts, suede ankle boots, nail art, red hair, Petit Mal comic books, ATP curated by Pavement, Spotify, Shazam app for iPhone, Wonder Showzen, Pizza East, pizza in bed, staying home to watch X Factor on Saturdays.
Favorite online destinations:
My favorite online fashion destinations are Fashematics, Style Rookie, The Selby, Contributing Editor, Backyard Bill, Show Me Your Wardrobe, Showstudio, and Youtube.
Best s/s ‘10 collections:
Alexander McQueen for being so otherwordly and unlike anything else—it was alien chic and yet remarkably wearable (for certain humans!) and I admire the boldness of his collaboration with SHOWstudio for a live-streaming online performance. I also coveted Miu Miu—the collection was completely bizarre, youthful and fun.
