Raf Simons for Fred Perry
June 24th, 2008 | Global
As if Belgian designer Raf Simons doesn't have enough to do overseeing his own eponymous label and as creative director of Jil Sander, which just opened a concept store on Howard St, he's also launching a 12-piece collection of polo shirts and knitwear in collaboration with Fred Perry.Inspired by Fred Perry's 1960s skiwear, the all-black, slim-fitting line includes a chic short-sleeve mohair turtleneck sweater, a patterned, knit polo shirt, a full button-down long-sleeve pique polo and sleek trousers. No doubt the pieces, branded with vintage Fred Perry laurels, will be must-haves for Fall. The collaboration will last for two seasons, so stay tuned for Spring.
