We’ve always been big fans of Nooka, a watch company that’s about more than just keeping the time. The brand has taken the art of watchmaking and made it into an aesthetic all of its own. Last year Nooka even launched a fragrance and this month it returns to its roots with a new timepiece: ZAZ.
Featuring a transparent face, ZAZ’s display is based on the popular Zen-V and Zen-H models that use four vertical bars appearing on a completely transparant mineral crystal lens. The wearer’s arm is visible below the watch face, providing the illusion that time is displayed directly onto the person’s wrist. ZAZ also comes with a green LED light and time and date functions, and features a butterfly clasp. Three models of the ZAZ will be made available: silver face with black or white leather bands, or a silver mesh band.
Such an innovative item is just one in a succession of pieces introduced by creative director Matthew Waldman. His artistic outlook is bolstered by more than 15 years of experience in corporate identities and design systems, which has brought the Nooka brand to worldwide success.
