If you’ll be window-shopping in London’s West End on Thursday, be sure to check out set designer and artist Gary Card illustrating his work in the windows of Stella McCartney’s Bruton Street store from 9.30am to 6.30pm. He’ll use colored pencils to create child-friendly, enchanting drawings "of animals, dinosaurs, superheroes and fantasy-inspired characters on children’s wardrobes," the Telegraph reports. McCartney will auction the backdrop to raise money for a children’s charity.
Last month, at McCartney’s spring/summer 2009 show, the setting to her catwalk in the Carreau du Temple in the Marais district also featured a children’s cartoon-inspired backdrop by Dinos & Jake Chapman (see photo). Read the Telegraph story at telegraph.co.uk.
