The Official Color of 2014 – Radiant Orchid

Geoffrey Rodriguez

Pantone – the design world’s leading authority on color- has named ‘Radiant Orchid’ as the official color of 2014. Inspired by nature, this rich, captivating hue combines shades of purple, fuchsia and red with soft golden undertones. Believed to stimulate wisdom and creativity, the use of purple, red and gold has historically been reserved for royalty and religious leaders. In more contemporary times, the aforementioned shades are most often associated with celebrations and festivities. While it’s no secret that we have faced some rather questionable times in recent years, Radiant Orchid conveys a welcomed sense of certainty for a more promising future. Please join us in welcoming in the New Year with our top selections of color cosmetics that best represent the beautiful shade of Radiant Orchid.

Chanel’s Les Ombres Contrast Duo eyeshadows in misty or emouvant are the perfect combination of this year’s official color.
