Emily_DWhat’s hot right now?

An obvious one to start, I’m really into the rebirth of Kenzo, Carol and Humberto have done an amazing job of top to bottom re-invention whilst keeping the spirit and feel of the brand intact.
Also very inspired by the photography/art bookstore Daikanyama Tokyo, no doubt one of the best in existence. An incredible place to research for a designer.
Lastly the musical finds of Ross Allen, a legendary UK A&R man who after 30 years of Dj’ing still finds musical gems from every corner of the globe for his weekly online show from Dancehall to Steve Reich. He is currently championing the Kaytranada re-edit of Janet Jacksons track- IF.

What was the most fashionable thing you last bought?

An excellent vintage find in a random Catskills thrift store of Gucci double breasted pant suit from around ’82 which is immaculate and cut as if made bespoke for me at the time. Also in 19 degree weather an obligatory pair of Celine sandals!

What destination are you most looking forward to traveling to right now?

I’ve just returned from a trip to India and Sri Lanka which was amazing especially a stay in in most amazing dessert in Rajasthan tented encampment called the Serai. After such an epic trip I’m looking fwd exploring the US which is still relatively new to me.
We also have plans to visit Chile and Bhutan before the fall.

What’s on your style wish list?

Acne jeans will always be a staple, Chloe Kenzo and Stella, Also I think Christopher Kane is doing some amazing things right now

What’s on heavy rotation in your wardrobe currently?

Its freezing in NY, its the best time of year as a sweater designer. I have the most insane collection of cashmere. I’ll layer heavily, often wearing knit as outerwear with Chloe pants and Alaia boots. As a knit fan also I love Lyn and Lawrence who make the perfect woolen beanie hats in the brightest colors.
