Designer Erin Kleinberg and stylist Stephanie Mark are offering a new way of looking at the creative process and influences of today’s most recognized global tastemakers with The Coveteur. The site focuses on curations, styling and new ways of showcasing the personalization behind fashion’s elite by taking readers inside the closets of internationally influential cultural forecasters. Before founding The Coveteur, Kleinberg had established her reputation with an eponymous design firm and internationally sold womenswear line, while Mark cut her teeth under the tutelage of Elle style director Kate Lanphear as well as celebrity stylists Leslie Fremar and Annabel Tollman. What’s hot right now?
We just hit up Miss Lily’s for Steph’s birthday in NYC and it was GLAM. Best food, and who doesn’t love a good dance party while you eat? Foster the People is killing it right now (watch for possible partnerships with them in near future, sash). We both cannot live without loafers right now. Steph is into her Stubbs & Woottons and Erin is rocking her studded Louboutins.
What do you think the most coveted fashion item will be for the fall?
We just spotted Jo Hillman in the Tommy Hilfiger bright colored pajama wide leg pant and both almost choked. I mean…We are just so obsessed with color. Whether it’s a bright beaded jacket or a bright accessory! It’s been going on for a few seasons now, but it still feels so fresh!!!!
What are you favorite trends from the shows so far in New York?
We love all use of bright bold color and patterns we have been seeing so far! Preen, Altuzarra and Peter Som totally hit the mark on this trend and are making us lustful for spring already! We also are really into the sporty look that has been making its way down the runway. The anorak-like jackets at Rag & Bone and Victoria Beckham have a sporty vibe but are effortlessly chic and made in really luxe fabrics.
